I love watching the new T3 Submersible sink. Testing the ship is one of my favorite parts of the design process. But I got a little tired of testing it in my usual way (a cooler filled with water).
So I bought a giant fish tank. And it's awesome. I can view the ship from the side, from the front, and even from below! It gives me a lot of useful information (and it's fun).
I also put some sand on the bottom of the tank so that it looks like it hits the seafloor.
I filmed a little bit of footage (for fun), and put it out on our new YouTube channel. We're currently sitting at over 100,000 views!
I'll be adding to this setup gradually. Better lighting, better backgrounds, etc. But for now, I'm just going to enjoy it.
