Is this a toy?

We have designed our products primarily as educational models for all ages. Some of the internal mechanisms can be delicate, so you should take care not to drop it.

It's a good habit to use both hands when you carry it, so that one half doesn't fall.

Other than that, there is a choking hazard from small parts that can break off. So it's not intended for children under 5 years.

What material is used to make the models?

Great question. The models are made with a non-toxic, eco-friendly type of plastic that comes from starchy plants!
